This Wednesday afternoon inspection had 13/16C and intermittent cloud.

Hive 2 – inspected by Hilary Hayward – National Single Brood, 5 frames bees, 3 frames capped brood, no evident queen (queen removed 24 April to form Nuc 8), test frame of eggs added.   Sufficient room & stores.   DWV seen, indicative of high varroa.  Temper 1

Hive 7 – inspected by Tom Blackburn – National Double Brood, 2 empty supers, 7 frames bees, 3.5 frames BIAS new Queen laying ( queen removed 27 April to Nuc 9) good pattern.  Sufficient room & stores.  Health OK. Temper 3.

Hive 8 – inspected by Peter Reader – (Dedicated Observation Hive) National Single Brood, Queen seen, 7 frames bees, 6 frames BIAS, Sufficient room & stores.  Health OK.  Temper 4.

Hive 9 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Nuc moved to National Single Brood, 4 frames bees, 3 frames BIAS, sufficient room.  Feeding.  Health OK, Temper 5.

Hive 10 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Nuc moved to National Single Brood, 5 frames bees, 4 frames BIAS, sufficient room & stores.  Health OK, temper 4.
