Hive 1 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Double Brood.  15 frames bees, 1 frame brood.  New Queen, eggs & larvae.  Sufficient room & stores. Health OK.  Temper 9.  Upper Brood partially drawn with some sugar stores – to be extracted by NM for feed.

Hive 2 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Single Brood.  8 frames bees 4 frames brood.  New queen, eggs, larvae.  Sufficient room & stores. Temper 7

Hive 3 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Double Brood.  10 frames bees, 8 frames capped brood, 5 QC + 1 partially capped, removed.  Sufficient room & stores. Health OK.  Temper 1.   This hive will be a CELL RAISER. Aim is keep queenless and make congested so added capped brood from other hives to do this. Keep knocking queen cells down until Miller method queen cells are added to be raised.

Hive 4 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Double Brood, 2 Supers.  12 frames bees, 4 frames BIAS, 1 QC pc?.  Sufficient room & stores.  1.5 Supers to extract.  Health OK.  Temper 1, tetchy.

Hive 8 – inspected by Neil Mariner – Dedicated Observation hive – National Single Brood.  6 frames bees 4 frames BIAS, sufficient space & stores, progressing well.  Health OK, Temper 3

Hive 9 – inspected by Neil Mariner – National Nuc.  4 frames bees, 3 frames BIAS, sufficient room & stores.  Health OK, Temper 5.  Ants on crown board, could add cinnamon stick to stop ants.
