Hive 1B – Anne-C Ballard – 14X12, 5 capped brood with 2 capped QC’s, 2 National frames. No stores, sufficient room. Feed given. Transfer to National boxes in three weeks after Queen settled. Varroa 4.5/day.
Hive 2 – Rowan Roberts – National Brood , 8 brood, 2 stores. 1/2 brood added. Sufficient room, 1 super. Temper 7.
Hive 3 – Peter Reader – National double brood, B1 6 brood 5 stores, B2 8 brood 2 stores, sufficient room. Queen seen, laying well. 1 super. temper 8. Little nectar in super.
Hive 4 – Brian Herbert – National Brood (shook swarmed at last inspection) 6 brood sufficient stores & room, all frames drawn + wild comb in roof. Queen seen, laying very well. 1 super. Temper 6. Varroa board inserted.
Hive 4A – Brian Herbert – National brood with all brood from 4 after shook swarm. 2.5 brood + copious chilled brood. No emergency QC’s. Varroa 6/day. Colony shaken out and site cleared.
Hive 5 – Richard Williams – National brood, 4brood, 13 QC’s, 11 removed, 2 sealed left, sufficient room. 2 supers 1/2 full & empty. Temper 7. 2 wax moth. Varroa 10/day.
