The Honey Show for the 79th year was held in the Rake Village Hall.
Last year it was not possible to hold the Honey Show due to the restrictions and for the protection of our members. This year it was decided that, due to the uncertainty of holding a Honey Show, an informal show should be created for members only. This was mainly to keep numbers to a reasonable level. Without the possibility of engaging an ‘official judge’ the Honey Show was held more as a social event than a contest. In the PDBKA area honey was in short supply so Classes were simplified (members could enter just one jar of honey!) and judging less formal than usual.
Members were encouraged to call in at any time of the day to peruse the exhibits, watch the judging and enjoy free tea and cake whilst chatting to fellow members. The Show was judged a success by all who attended.
