Hive 2 – inspected by Hilary Hayward & Theresa Kennedy – Queen seen, 7 frames BIAS, sufficient room & stores. temper 9.
Hive 3 – inspected by David Parkinson – Double brood after uniting 14 days earlier, reduced to single brood. 4.5 frames brood, a reduction of 1.5 on last inspection, sufficient room, 1 frame stores. 2 supers rearranged to concentrate stores in lower super. Temper 7.
Hive 4A – inspected by Anne-Chantal Ballard & Sharon Aslett – 4 frames BIAS, an increase of 1 on last inspection, sufficient room, 0.5 frame stores. Requires rapid feeder 2:1. Temper 10, very calm, keep as Nuc. over winter. Evidence of varroa.
Hive 5 – inspected by Richard Williams – 2 frames eggs & young larvae, an increase of 2 on last inspection, sufficient space, 4 frames stores. 1 super. Requires rapid feeder 2:1. Temper 10.
Hive 5A – inspected by Peter Reader – No evidence of queen present. Combine with Hive 5B.
Hive 5B – inspected by Peter Reader – Queen seen, 6 frames BIAS, an increase of 1 on previous inspection having been fed, 1 frame room, sufficient stores. 5A combined through newspaper. Temper 10.
Hive 5C – inspected by Richard Williams – 4 frames BIAS, an increase of 1.5 on last inspection 6 frames foundation, no laying space, 1 frame stores, no super. Requires rapid feeder 2:1. Temper 10.
